Dave Radford

Gizmo founder, Dave lives in Canterbury - he's still songwriting, performing and looking forward to promoting the new album. For many years Dave ran the record store in Canterbury's Indoor Market. He gave up the shop in 2011 to concentrate on writing and playing.

Brian Gould

Before joining Gizmo, Brian worked for many years in Germany with showband Venus Delta before touring and recording with South London prog-rock band Seventh Wave.
After leaving Gizmo for the second time in 1988, Brian, together with other Gizmo members Maurice Memmott, Steve Wyse and Anita Salt, formed orchestral prog-rock band HPC. HPC released one album 'Camera Obscura' in 1991. After touring extensively throughout 1991-92, the band split with Brian then focusing his energies on his recording studio in Margate's Old-Town area. Working at New Moon Music, he is still very much musically active writing for film and television.

Maurice Memmott

Was a violinist with the London Symphony Orchestra before joining us. After Gizmo, together with Brian, Steve and Anita founded HPC. Maurice and Anita Salt started the Micro-Music teaching studio in Whitstable. He continued to perform live, giving classical piano recitals throughout the UK. Following major heart surgery in 2004, Maurice has been unable to perform live and it is unlikely we'll ever see him play in public again.
Maurice passed away July 2019

Steve Wyse

As well as Gizmo and HPC, Steve has toured and recorded with artists and bands such as The Originals, Judge Dread and Canterbury favourite's 'The City Blues Band'. He continued working as a session musician, appearing on many Step One Music and Moon Ska World releases. Steve can still be seen playing live with the UK Santana Tribute Show and The Dial party band.

Trevor Rogansky

An incredibly talented bassist, Trevor travelled all the way down from Liverpool in order to join the band, returning to Liverpool just nine months later following a family crisis.

Hugh Hopper

Best known as bassist with British prog-rock pioneers 'Soft Machine', Hugh has also appeared with Syd Barrett, Stomu Yamashta, Keith Tippett, Pye Hastings and more.
He passed on June 7th 2009.

Martin Reed

Came to Gizmo after he was spotted playing jazz guitar in a club in Whitstable. As well as performing in Gizmo, Martin has worked as a session musician in clubs and on studio recordings. During his career he's played lead guitar with Kent rockers 'Barkin' Mad' and Canterbury's popular heavy-rock band 'Kelly’s Heroes'. Martin has also proved himself as a seasoned acoustic guitarist having gained a reputation as a first-rate performer dueting with London folk legend 'Arthur Kitchener'.
Martin died July 12th 2013 following a long illness.

Tony Rico Richardson

Joined Gizmo in 1991. Tony's a seasoned professional musician. As well as Gizmo, Tony has toured and recorded with artists such as Paul Carrack, Slash, Amy Whitehouse, Bono, Brian May, The Wailers plus others to numerous to mention.

Martin Judd

For many years Martin ran the successful Music-Mart shop in Canterbury city centre, selling everything from a triangle to a Marshall stack. As a musician Martin recently celebrated his 25th year as bassist with Kent heavy rock band 'Alive 'N' Kickin'.

Grant Matcham

Grant is a talented keyboard player. Although not performing on the latest album, he is looking forward to performing live with the band and joining them on future recordings.

Ian Harris

Has recently completed work on a new album with guitarist Bernie Torme. He came to Gizmo from Welsh prog band Karnataka.
